CA alum named head coach

Sarah Beth Ratcliff has been hired as Canton Academy Head Softball Coach following serving as Assistant Softball Coach for the last two years. Coach Ratcliff was born and raised in Ridgeland and is a 2013 graduate of Canton Academy. After graduation, she continued her softball career at Belhaven University and went on to receive a bachelor’s degree from the University of Mississippi. Coach Ratcliff is currently CA’s 5th and 6th grade English/language arts teacher and will continue to serve in that role. She and husband, Tate, have two children, four year old Lynnleigh Tate and newest addition, Mitchell Barrett, their son just born on February 21.

Coach Ratcliff says, “Once our daughter became school age, we enrolled her at Canton Academy. Being back at the school has brought back so many wonderful memories for me, and I’m very excited to continue coaching the sport I’ve loved for many years.”
