Canton High School students become AP (Advanced Placement) Scholars by enrolling in AP courses and achieving a 3 or above on the national AP examination. This also qualifies students for college credit. Completing AP courses can enable students to acquire college credit hours while completing high school, which could qualify students to complete their undergraduate education in less than four years, thereby saving money.
AP courses currently offered at Canton High School are AP Language, AP Government, AP Biology, and AP U.S. History. Additional AP courses that will be offered during the 2023-2024 school year are AP Calculus and AP Computer Science.
