Jackson honored by district

Canton Public School District Chief of Security Robert Jackson recently honored Student Resource Officer Lee Partee as the SRO of the Month. Chief Jackson says Officer Partee has contributed countless hours of dedicated service to help protect and serve the district’s scholars and staff. 

Partee served as the district’s first chief of security with the creation of the department in 2008. 

According to CPSD, “Over the years, his expertise has helped keep the district safe. Officer Partee graduated in 1978 from Mississippi’s first Trooper class, where African Americans were allowed to integrate.” 

CPSD’s Board of Trustees and Superintendent Gary Hannah praised his devoted service.
