After making it all the way to the state championship last year and falling short to the powerhouse that used to be Greenville Christian School, the Canton Academy Panthers adopted the motto #FINISH.
From the beginning of the season, it became clear that the state championship was Canton’s to lose.
The Panthers finished the season with a 12-1 record and won their last seven games.
With their only loss being to rival school Tri-County Academy, CA faced off against Central Holmes Academy on Mississippi College’s field.
With a final score of 48-7, CA Head Football Coach Gage Posey led the Panthers to their fifth state title win in the school’s history, with previous wins in 1987, 1995, 1996, and 2016.
