The Canton Parks and Recreation Department and the Canton Board of Alderman recently recognized several groups for their support both financially and by donating their time to the Parks and Recreation department.
Phillips Lumber, 100 Black Men of Canton, Peoples Undertaking Company, and Mississippi Discount Drugs were all presented with a plaque and thanks for their support by director Alvin Davis.
“We need these volunteers and groups to help keep us going. At the end of the day, we’re doing it for the kids and to make a difference in their lives,” said Davis.
The Junior Auxiliary of Madison County was also recognized for volunteering their time to the Parks and Recreation department
