MadCAAP was honored to hold the first day of the Love for Lacey Arts and Crafts Camp. Memorial gifts honoring the late Lacey Travis Madden funded five days of camp. Executive Director Karen Robinson said, “Lacey was not only a dear friend but she was instrumental in starting the MadCAAP kids programs and she loved the clients fiercely. We are so happy to continue to share her love with these kids.”
Once Robinson became executive director, Madden was one of the first to reach out to help MadCAAP embrace more kids’ programs, design a logo, and get really involved with the organization.
“We had so many people that donated in her honor that I got with her mom and asked if we could do this camp because she loves arts and crafts, kids, and she loved to paint and I wanted to honor her in that way,” said Robinson.
