Madison County Farm Bureau Federation names art contest winners

The Madison County Farm Bureau Federation Women’s Committee recently treated the student winners of the grade 1 – 6 art contest with a donut party. Students from county elementary schools were invited to participate in an art contest. The drawings were to depict life on the farm, farm scenes, farm animals or agricultural crops. First place winners from each county are entered into a contest at the district level, and then those district winners compete at the state level. The state winners’ artwork will be used in a 2023 Ag Art Calendar available statewide through the Farm Bureau office.

Madison County recognizes local winners with cash prizes at first, second and third place. This year’s entire art class was entertained by the Women’s Committee with refreshments. Keri  Chatman, chairman of the Madison County Farm Bureau Federation Women’s Committee, reported that there were many talented artists who entered the contest.
