The Snake Man shares reptile knowledge

Terry Vandeventer, “The Snake Man” shared his Living Reptile Museum with young Canton Library patrons on June 16 as part of Tails and Tales Summer Reading Theme.  Live snakes were presented in a fun and safe manner for all to see.

Characteristics, life histories, and benefits to mankind were covered as well as the all-important issue of safety. He provided facts and corrected misconceptions about some of the state’s 56 types of snakes, only six of which are venomous. This was a fun educational program for all ages.
