Ellis and Hutchinson secure scholarships

Batter up! Recently, Canton Academy (CA) seniors Zan Ellis and John Hollis Hutchinson signed baseball scholarships with Hinds Community College. 
Ellis will play middle infield, while Hutchinson will play catcher and pitcher. 
Family and friends showed up for their signing at CA to celebrate their achievements. 
Head Baseball Coach Gage Posey, who played for Hinds himself as a pitcher and outfielder, said, “Hinds is getting two very good kids. They won’t get outworked. Those two get it done in the classroom and will be a great influence on the rest of the team, just like they are here.”
