Miller named Master Teacher

Canton Academy second grade teacher, Mrs. Jacki Miller, was recently surprised at school by members of the Mississippi Association of Independent Schools. In the presence of all elementary students, teachers, staff and administration, Mr. Matt Bramuchi, MAIS Director of Teaching & Learning, presented Mrs. Miller with the “MASTER TEACHER AWARD.”

According to Bramuchi, “The MAIS Master Teacher Program bestows well-deserved recognition to MAIS Master Teachers who exhibit best practices in the classroom and a willingness to share, serve, and collaborate with other educators. The MAIS commends its Master Teachers who inspire excellence inside and outside of the classroom.”

Mrs. Miller was granted MAIS’s Lifetime Teaching Certificate and will attend a special Master Teacher ceremony in April.
