CPSD preps for state testing

Representatives from the Mississippi Department of Education conducted professional development sessions with Canton Public School District (CPSD) teachers, assistant teachers, administrators and early childcare directors. They offered strategies and techniques for unpacking early childhood standards, classroom centers, creating effective lesson plans, applying strategies during Tier 1 instruction, and preparing for the State Istation Assessment. The Istation assessment is a computer-based test that measures reading, math, and Spanish literacy in students from kindergarten through third grade.
