With a smile and a heart of gold, it’s no surprise that Bethany Biggers of Canton recently won Miss Hometown Mississippi. The pageant was held at Brandon High School.
Biggers also won Best Smile.
“It was on my bucket list to do a pageant, and I had so much fun and got to interact with some truly wonderful people,” said Biggers.
Biggers, daughter of Vickie and Cresley Pierce, is a graduate of Canton Academy, where she was valedictorian. She is a pre-med major who is active on the Holmes Community College campus. She is an Ambassador, a member of Focus Factor and president of both Phi Theta Kappa honor society and the STEM Club. Biggers is a member of Apostolic Lighthouse Church and, in her free time, enjoys spending time with friends, four-wheeler riding, writing, traveling, meeting dogs, learning new things, going on adventures and shopping. Her future plans include going to medical school and becoming a pediatrician.
Katherine Coward, a Canton Academy graduate and Biggers’ best friend, received runner-up in the pageant, as well.
Known for her quick wit and passion for all she does, Coward says she was excited to participate in the pageant. Coward, daughter of Sharon and Tony Coward, is a pre-physical therapy major at Holmes Community College in Ridgeland. She is a current member of Phi Theta Kappa honor society. She enjoys mud riding, working at Trace Nutrition, and hanging out with her friends.
