Holmes Ridgeland Campus announces Homecoming Maids

Holmes Community College recently announced members of the 2021 Homecoming Court.  

Ridgeland Campus court members include: Student Body Maid Bethany Biggers of Canton; Sophomore Maid Taylor Barnes of Wiggins; Sophomore Maid Brooklyn Gaddis of Brandon; Freshman Maid Arian Felton of Madison and Freshman Maid Hailey Jacks of Birmingham, Alabama. 

Bethany Biggers, daughter of Vickie and Cresley Pierce, is a pre-med major who is active on campus. She is an Ambassador, a member of Focus Factor and president of both Phi Theta Kappa honor society and the STEM Club. Biggers is a member of Apostolic Lighthouse Church and in her free time enjoys spending time with friends, four-wheeler riding, writing, traveling, meeting dogs, learning new things, going on adventures and shopping. Her future plans include going to medical school and becoming a pediatrician. 

Taylor Barnes is the daughter of Jeannine and Anthony Smith and Angela and Steve Barnes. She is a psychology major who serves as Horizons yearbook editor and as a member of Phi Theta Kappa. Outside of Holmes, Barnes is a youth leader at St Francis Assisi Catholic Church in Ridgeland and works as a barista. In her free time, she enjoys photography, making rosaries and event-planning. Barnes’ future plans are to go into adolescent counseling in a private practice. 

Brooklyn Gaddis, daughter of Kea Gaddis and Marcus Gaddis, is a dental hygiene major. On campus she is a Horizons yearbook staff member, and in her free time, she enjoys painting, shopping, singing and photography. After obtaining her associate degree from Holmes, Gaddis plans to attend the University of Mississippi Medical Center to complete her dental hygienist degree. 

Arian Felton is the daughter of Monique Moore, Edwin Felton and Johnny Winston. She is a business administration major who spends her free time working, shopping, spending time with friends and family and competing in pageants. 

Hailey Jacks, daughter of Angela Jacks and Chris Jacks, resides in Ridgeland but grew up in Birmingham, Alabama. She is a psychology major who attends Pinelake Church. Jacks’ hobbies include: reading, writing, hanging out with friends and being artsy. After Holmes, she plans to transfer to a university and obtain her master’s degree in psychology to become a mental health counselor.  

The queen and her court will be presented during halftime of the Bulldogs’ Homecoming Game against Mississippi Delta Community College on Thursday, Oct. 21, in Goodman. Kickoff is scheduled for 3 p.m.
