May named banner bearer for UM School of Journalism and New Media

Keely Lauren May of Canton was designated banner bearer for the School of Journalism and New Media at the University of Mississippi for the recent commencement weekend.

May, who graduated from UM with a Bachelor of Arts in public policy leadership and a Bachelor of Science in integrated marketing communications, was among the nineteen students who were named class marshal or banner bearer for their respective college or school.

Students chosen for the honor excelled in their studies and led the graduating class of their college or school into Morning Convocation on May 11 as part of the university’s 2024 commencement exercises.
