Palmer reelected to SNCC Board

The Board of the Student Non-Violent Coordinating Committee (SNCC) Legacy Project met in person for the first time in three years from June 20-21, 2023, in Washington, D.C. At the annual meeting, Canton native Cynthia Goodloe Palmer was re-elected as secretary. This will be Palmer’s third term serving. Those civil rights veterans in attendance included (l to r), standing: Karen Spellman, Geri Augusto, Dorothy Zellner, Courtland Cox (chairman), Maisha Moses, Jen Lawson, Sharlene Kranz, Cynthia Goodloe Palmer (secretary) and Kim Johnson (recorder); and seated: Maria Varela, Judy Richardson, Charles Cobb, Freddie Biddle, Frank Smith and Larry Rubin (treasurer). Others who joined via Zoom were Joyce Ladner, Timothy Jenkins and Cleve Sellers.
