Brooks and Brent awarded MLK Essay scholarships

Canton High scholars Kamari Brooks and Daquavian Brent recently won scholarships by participating in the Rho Xi Lambda Alphas MLK Day Essay Contest. First-place winner Kamari Brooks received $1,000, while second-place winner Daqavian Brent received $906. Both young men delivered inspiring essays on the topic, “Where do we go today: Recommendations from Dr. King’s perspective.”
