Canton Lions December update

The Canton Lions enjoyed many good speakers in November, including a program by Heather Chisholm, the drop-off team leader, and Minadine Waldrop, the area coordinator for Operation Christmas Child, a branch of Samaritan’s Purse.  This is a very good charity and one that has impacted so many lives over the years.  

Heather works at Center Terrace Baptist Church, which is serving as the drop-off location for Operation Christmas Child.  The goal is to collect one hundred boxes this year.  The cost to fill a box is approximately $30, and they are also accepting donations.  

This program closed November 20, 2023; however, Center Terrace plans to be the collection site for 2024, as well.  Heather said, “This is a gospel opportunity, and it doesn’t matter your denomination; all are welcome.”
