Special to the Canton News

The Canton Gospel Music Association (CGMA) is proud to announce the recipients of the 2021 Music Scholarship Awards. The awards will be presented at the 18th Annual “VIRTUAL” Scholarship Awards and Gospel Music Celebration on Sunday, September 12, 2021 at 5p.m.

“This is the 15th consecutive year that our organization has awarded these worthwhile music scholarships to deserving students,” says president and founder, Cynthia Goodloe Palmer. “Each year since 2006, we have awarded these scholarships to students of Madison County and as of today, we have awarded 165 scholarships. “It is only fitting that we carry on this legacy of excellence in the field of gospel music by awarding these scholarships each year,” said Palmer.
