Volunteers of MC give back

The Mississippi Homemaker Volunteers of Madison County recently presented quilted banners (along with other contributions/donations) to the Mayoral Councils of Rolling Fork and Silver City, Mississippi, in light of the devastation that struck their communities only six months ago, in March 2023. 
The organization said, “Let their volunteer efforts remind us that the charge in rebuilding these communities is ongoing and belongs to us all.”

The group welcomes contributions to the effort and are asking that donations be provided in the form of nonperishable items and supplies such as:
●    Bottled water
●    Canned goods
●    Paper products
●    Personal hygiene items
●    Laundry detergent
●    Cleaning products
●    Cleaning supplies

Donations can be dropped off beginning Tuesday, October 10, through Friday, November 10, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily at the Canton Public Library, located at 102 Priestley Street.
