Canton Gospel Music Association presents scholarships to seniors

The Canton Gospel Music Association (CGMA) recently presented music scholarship awards to three high school seniors. Those awarded scholarships were Kaler Hill, Erin Nichols and Madison Word.

Hill graduated from Germantown High School and will be attending East Mississippi Community College in Scooba, Mississippi.

Nichols graduated from Canton High School and will be attending Alcorn State University in Lorman, Mississippi.

Word graduated St. Andrews Episcopal School and will be attending Xavier University in New Orleans, Louisiana.

CGMA members on hand to congratulate the students from Madison County were Veronica Smith, Erma Col, Randy Abron, Nathaniel Cole, Georgia Sims, Claude Nichols, Pastor John Woodard Jr., and Cynthia Goodloe Palmer.
